Me at the sun gate view of Machu Picchu, so happy to have finally make it.
The 4 days of trekking the Incra trails was a no joke, one really have to be mentally prepared and physically fit and have a good and fun personality to go through both what I called a mental and physical tortures. I first came acrossed the word Machu Picchu in a travel mazagine and thought it will be fun and changlengling to do this trip. Thus I booked this 45 days travel South America from Peru to Bolivia and Brazil, not excatly knowing what I am up to. But having done the Incra trail to Machu Picchu, I must say that I had no regrets, except that I will be more prepared for it, but yet again, how to get prepared. All is needed is to just do it and aim for the final destination. What is most tourturing for me in the trip is day 2, where we have to walk 6 hrs of uphills and 2 hors of downhills. The journey seems never ending, and I reay almost wanted to give up, and of course kept asking myself why am I doing this, what do I want out of this or to prove anything. It was crazy, but thank God for G.I Jo (Joann), we both kept encourageing each other to move on, wonder how would I ever do it alone, I am the people goal type of person, can never imagine if I have to wak uphill alone. Other then the longwinded hike, everything in the Incra trials are awesome, we had great friendly porters, who are always so attentives to our needs, making sure we had good food, warm water to wash up (hand and face only) we did not had showers till the 3rd nights. As a team we got closer to each other after the trails and it was an awesome experience fro me.
