Happy birthday to you, Joy

Wow! What a feeling and experience to spend my 37th birthday yesterday, 14th November, here in Guatemala. JoAnn was very sweet, she bought me a bouquet of peach roses, and in the afternoon, we have a mini celebration at Christy her friend house, Lydia bake me a cake and Christy asked me to choose my birthday gift from her collection of costumes jewellery; we had a wonderful time of fellowship and sharings. Christy is such a wonderful host who have no airs about in her, conming from a very influential background, her husband is a president of a bank.

Later in the evening, we went to our neighbour house to have dinner together, JoAnn cooked her favourite Black Chicken sauce and mixed vegetables, it was yummy and again, I recieved a birthday present from them. Latino are such warmth and loving people to be around with. Though I do not know them well, but they are just so kind to extend their love and friendship to you. We chatted from interesting places in Guatemala to polictical issue, the host that we were with for dinner, had almost become the president of Guatemala, when his party want to have him runs for presidency, but because of his humility and being a rightoeus man, knowledge of what the job entitled him to do. He rejected the offer and prefer to live as civilians. We chatted util almost 12 midnight. Wow! so much to talk about in life.

Hmm! how do I feel getting ´wiser´as each year pass. I don´t know, does age really matters, maybe not, it is what you feel inside you and the mentality you have. I don´t feel old although reality states I am, but what I feel is that as along as I am happy and is that I continue to have dreams and goals and reaching out to people, making a difference. That´s what will matter. Well, just a penny of my thoughts.

Indeed, I had quite an experience and a good time spending my birthday here in Guatemala. Thank you, those who send me good wishes. I really appreciate it. May our good Lord bless and keep you all.
