New Year 2007

NYE at Chijmes

Nicholas, 1st day in school

What a year 2006 had been, the first 4 months of 2006, have been traveling in South America and had made many new friends. When back, I was introduced to the internet marketing world. There is just so much to learn in this new business opportunity. Then got to start my own uniform company in October and called it Global Uniform. It's been good.

So on New Year Eve, a group of us gathered together to go for dinner together at Chijmes at the Australian restaurant Hog. The beef was quite good, as the portion is quite huge, I shared with Angela. It was also one of our Austrian friend Paul (works in SG for the past 7 months) last day in Singapore. Then we went to see the grand fireworks at the Esplanade. It was so crowded, full of people everywhere, we squeeze through the crowd hoping to get the best spot for the fireworks. I pity the plants, everyone of us just destroyed our "green" city because of our "kiasuism" When 12am struck the fireworks display came about and it was awesome. Especially, the last part of the display it was real grand, beautiful.

Then on 3rd Jan 2007, it was my older nephew 1st day in Primary school. I was like any excited parent, he is like a "star" I took picture of him where ever he goes, and he heart was popping and I think maybe he was embarassed by this "godma" who can't stop taking his photos. Even during recess time, I would suddenly popped up and still taking shots of him (haha, I am amused by myself) But hey in the evening when I showed him all the photos I took, he was happy :)

Then in the evening went to Angela's birthday celebration at St James (my first time there) it was quite a cool place, new and refreshing. She is so lucky that it happened to be ladies night, as we ladies each got up to 5 free drinks. We sang karaoke and played tricks on her, then proceed to the dance floor to dance whole night till the club closed. It was fun and I was so drunk, drank like 4-5 glasses. It was not a good feeling (tell myself, next time not more than 4 glasses) But for Angela sake okay for now, hehe (excuses I often gives myself).

So much for the holiday mood. It's time to start really working and make some real money. I pray that 2007 will be a year of destiny and wonderful for us all.

5 more days to countdown to New Year 2007

Wow! what a year 2006 is. Now is time to usher in the New Year 2007. Pray that the New Year will be as exciting if not more than 2006.This year, I had couples of parties to go :)

On 22nd Sara had a party at her place. I was appointed to be the game hostess (which is what I am usually good at ;) We had such great fun and laughter. We played Taboo, Outbrust, Apple to Apple and self made Pictionary. Of course, our group consist of Sara, Angela, Douglas and myself won 2 rounds of the 3 games. And the other group consist of Ronald, Heidi, Fun and Andrew lost 2 rounds and they had to do forfeit (using their bum to spell out their name), very funny. It was a good party and fun.

Next day, is Carmen dinner party, she is a good cook. Am very surprise to see Monica came, seems like Carmen enrolling power is working, she is able to convince the hospital authority to let Monz out for 3 hrs, It was good to see her happy and getting stronger each day. Keep it up Monz, we support you all the way.

On sunday, we had a combine Christmas service at the Indoor Stadium, we had a guest singer
from a Black American, she sang the song Beautiful, it is so beautiful to hear she singing from her heart and I was in tears as I listen to her sing how beautiful our Lord Jesus is and His love for us. In the evening, went to Bro Wong Lee and Sis Cathy's house (my spiritual leader) for Christmas dinner, as usual there is over supplies of food, food is simply delicious. Then for the countdown I was at Orchard road to witness the crazy fanatic of youths spraying foam onto each other, the road was jammed pack with people.

On Christmas day, brought my 2 little nephews together with Junia and Heidi to Orchard Road to watch the Christmas Concert and the float. Sometimes, I find human being are really selfish, it reminds my of when I was in the Disneyland at LA. People will just hogged on the table (even if they had finished their food) or said a big table is occupied even though the space is more than enough. Sigh...

God is good to bless us with good weather on the Christmas eve and day, but immediately the next day on boxing day, its been raining the whole day till now (I don't like raining day, cos it restrict my mood to go out or to do things, I was so bored).
Coming back to the philosophical me, my friend Hazel told me to write down and cut picture of my dreams and things I want in my life. I was not so much motivated to do it. There is so much I need to get done, but what's holding me back in getting my things done?
I pray that the coming New Year will be a wonderful year for all of us and may all our dreams come true.

Blessings and love,
Joy

It's December time

Me and Sara dressing up as Xena for Halloween
The new arrival of my little nephew Keagan Li Johnson

At the WIS 06 Singapore

Surely many of us are both excited and anxious about the coming of the new year (well, at least for me). Since my last gathering with my buddies LP32 at Batam Island. The rest of October and November, had been rather the same. So heres come my update:
1) Got my new business Global Uniform registered as a company on 19/10/06. I created this company to supply uniforms to schools, hospitality industry, etc. Am still building up on the business profile and concept.
2) End October, myself and my buddy Sara, decided to dressed up as Xena, the princess warrior to go for the halloween party in Zouk. The place was just jam packed with so many people in their costumes and I must say we stands out quite well. We had a good time mingling with Sara's colleague and new friends make on that day. It was a blast :)
3) Then came November (my birthday month) have dinner with my friends and later part of the month celebrate together with Sara and Sandhya all our birthday together, since our dates are rather close.
4) Went to Bangkok with Esther (my former churchmate - whom we became close recently after working together on the Tommy Barnett event) We did our shopping spree and visit my factory suppliers. We had a good time together, it was crazy to go to Chinatown as early in the morning as 3am to get some "good" deals. Of course, on the last day I did not miss out on spending 3 hours of pampering my body for a good massage.
5) After Bangkok, came the World Internet Summit, this is a internet marketing seminar, and it was a enjoyable and fun learning experience for me. Actually, there are real potential in the internet world, except that I really had to work on it and make it happen to me. There are so many success stories.
6) Then on 22/11/06 came the arrival of my new nephew Keagan Li Johnson. It's the creation of my sister Josey and Ben. Congratulation to them both, they are still in the cloud 9 or daze of this new bundle of joy arrival.
7) During these past months I have met and make quite a number of new friends, and some of them we click in the instant (seems to have common understandings and topic to talk on), while some I find rather interesting character. I even got to know a "conman" who tries to con me into lending him some money, sigh!!! There are just so many kinds of personality and we really have to be careful and watchful at all time, be alert and sensitive to the Holy Spirit leading. I basically love to chat and make new friends, especially like minded people. Because I believe in developing quality friendship. Sometimes, I find myself vulnerable in this area of my life; that I am too trusting, but am grateful that I am in Christ and no evil shall befall me. Amen.

Now, I am looking forward to Christmas and the coming New Year celebration and it's time to reflect and make some new resolution; and I already know what I want to see it happen in the coming new year, hehe...

LP32 6th weekend at Batam Holiday Inn

This is my special group of buddy friends that I have made when I attended the Asiaworks course in 2003. And this is our annual gathering of the big group total 39 of us in LP32, This time round we manage to get 19 of us to come together for this 6th weekend. Indeed, it was a reguvenating time together. Each of the session from Heart, Mind, Body and Soul, was unique and a learning experience for me. My whole being is being renewed and refreshed with a bigger and clearer vision. I was being also charged up to believe in the more of me. I am excited about the what's next.
We had a fun time of playing waterpolo, visit orphange homes, get our body pampered with Balinese or Javanese massage and the cosy jaccuzi pool, and attending the inspiring sharing session held by my fellow committee for the 6th weekends buddies. Of course not to miss the fun of us teasing each other, or more of them teasing me :( Also not forgetting some of our girls gossip session, hehe.
Although, some of the member in the group, we only get to meet up once a year like this event, but it never hinder us in being rekindled to the special bond we have cultivated over the years.
Indeed, I consider myself to be so blessed to be a part of the group. Thank you all, love and hugs.

Wow, it's been a long long time I blog

I am so surprise to have recieved a long distance call from my blogger fan in Africa, to ask me to continue to blog as he enjoyed reading my blog, am so flattered. And also today I recieved an email from Jillian, one of my best friend I have made during my traveling, asking me to start blogging, so now here I am, I will attempt to write and blog from today onwards.
But share with you what been going on in my life since I have returned from my travels.

May:
As mentioned before in my previous blog, that 4 days since I returned to Singapore, I immediately left to go Redang to do diving with 4 of my other divers girlfriends. Redang still has her beauty and nature, a very relax place, the resort we stayed in, fantastic, got the seaview, and the diver master are very knowlegdable and friendly. I enjoyed my 4 days there.
The Chicka thatwent diving with me
Dot, Joy, Monica, Sharon, Shirley

A week after, a friend gave me a free ticket to attend the National Achiever Congress, and got myself introduced to the whole new world of internet marketing. As usual, anything that is new always excite me that I actually purcahse the Tom Hua package which cost me S$4000 (what an investment) But it was good, I got to make many more new friends and create a bigger circle of networking. Since then I have form a small group of 4 internet marketer to work on a project of creating a travel website together, but the process is really slow, cos most of us have our own committment and doing this needs time and commitmment. But I am a strong believer of creating result with intention. So do watch out for the website (:

June:
This month, my ex pastor in Victory Family Centre called me up to ask if I can assist him to promote the Tommy Barnett Pastoral and Leadership seminar, since organising event is my forte and am still looking for my niche to work, I agreed to help him co-ordinate the event. It was good and I got to know Esther Soh, she is a cool and efficient girl, we soon becomes good buddy. She has the desire to do buisness in Guang Zhou, and is waiting for open door to venture into the market.
During this time I also had a visitor, Shelley, from England came to visit and I spent a good 4 days with her, and being a host to show her around. We had a good time together. She is now back in England, Managing 2 big department shopping.
Finally in this month, I bought my new Asus Notebook too, am happy to have computer and internet connection.
I got introduced to Laurence by Chee Wee, he had an idea to do Adventure Tour in Singapore. I was excited about this project, and during the 3 weeks had, been working on the project, doing research, report, proposal, but in the end we did not carry out the plan cause of heavy investment and uncertainity of it revenue, also none of us have the relevant experience to carry it out. But at least a good exposure for me to see possiblity and get excited.
I was still unsure of what I really want to do, I want to do events and create children parties, which in fact, surprisingly I had calls to asked me to do parties and assignments during this months too, it was good at least created some income.

July:
This is the month for the final count down to the Tommy Barnett seminar, thank God the event went on well and smooth, am happy to see what I have created. Good response and result.
Then Monica was suddenly awarded to the hospital for the shortness of breathe, she been a very independent strong and amazing woman. But suddenly sickness taken over her, even now she is still in the hospital (in and out of ICU) Doctor still checking on her condition, really pray she will get well soon, life will never be the same for her. Cause me to think how precious and fragile life can be.
Again, another new idea pop out, I want to do children camp and workshop, did market reserch
and proposal. See possiblity but yet alot of work and commitment, spoken to Noah (Children worker specialist) but idea fall back on me again, sigh.
Again, this month I was still figuring out what I want to do and should be doing, What's the matter Joy, whats taking you so long? Basically my heart is still unsettled, I was still thinking of traveling and the possiblity of doing it again early next year when a friend I had known during my travels, will be coming to travel Asia for 3 months (so that's why, I do not want to commit myself to any permenant job).

August:
I went for diving in Manado (2nd time round) I was so eagerly looking forward for the trip, we had about 9 of us fron Scuba 51 dive school, but this time round it was not as enjoyable as I had went the 4 of us girls came 2 yrs ago. I did not really get to see alot of stuffs too. This trip had cost me another S$1400 in total expenses.

One of the best shot I have taken in Manado (am proud of myself :)

After I returned from my dive trip, I attended a special arranged internet workshop by Tom Hua, and I got to know 2 lovely German lady, Sabine (now in Chiang Mai) and her Sister who came to Singapore just for this talk and is only spending a day more in Singapore, so I volunteer to bring them Ubin and show them around Singapore, we had a good time together. We actually were out for the whole day.
This month I was introduce to Barter Exchange, I attended a week long training, it was a good and eyeopening one for me. A whole "renew" concept of doing biusiness in the modern age.
Also in this month, I got to know Esther Tay,(a used to be very famous local fashion designer, now a uniform designer) through Jerrie Then contacts. I wanted so much to work, really work and do something useful for myself, I went to ask her, if she needs any staffs, I wanted to go back to do merchandising or basically to work, I was also unsure if I want to work in her office in the long term, I am actually trying to test my market value. We then agree to a one month testing period for both of us. I was assigned to help her in the buisness development of a new brand name she is wanting to create. I must say, anything fresh and new always excite me. I enjoyed my work and help her in creating and formulate a work system. When I was doing the market research, I discovered the world new ideas of biusness opportunity.
This month also suddenly, I have been introduce to Skype and recieving alot of people wanting to chat with me. Finding it amuseing and interesting, I began chatting with some of them and infact make some "good" online chat mate. Most of them are guys from overseas like Africa, Middle East and even some local; those who know me, hey I am very open to making new friends and contacts, hehe.

September:
This month I was still working on TUP, met up with my LP32 coursemate, life is st least somehow fix and sure, no neccessities of anxiety, it was good to feel safe sometimes. And I do like the feelings, but my ambitious and aspiring nature soon took over me. I aspired more and I want to do more, also my 1 month agreement with Esther is soon up, she wants to employ me, but I was unsure of working with her. Anyway, we went together to the Bangkok Fashion Fair. It was an eyeopening for me and I aquired alot out of the trip. Thank goodness, Sandyha, a new friend I had met in TUP, also happen to be in Bangkok for the fair was there. I spent an eventful nite with her, hehe. We got connected very well and chatted alot.

October:
Now I am back to square one, but now I had a purpose and I am sure of what I want to do and create (at least what I think I know) I am now in the midst of preparing my new biz proposal and hoping to get interest investor and relaible partner to join me. I am very excited about this new project and is really wanting to make it happen this time round. I pray fro God's blessing.
But soon this 13th Oct, I will be join my other 20 lovely LP32 coursemate for our 6th weekend together. Am really excited about it and looking forward to it. I will update later.

What am I up to now?

Hey Friends, just to keep everyone of you update of what's happening to me here in Singapore. I had been busy, but not really with works, basically meeting up with friends, loitering and searching for a notebook computer for the past month. Finally, found one that I like alot, it's ASUS cost me S$2700, quite alot of money but I like it. Eversince I had the notebook, I had been surfing the net like crazy (slept around 4-5am) cos it's wireless and broadband, so this is fast speed and awesome. I had to learn to be more disclipline.
Now, back to the qeustion of What's Next after a year long of traveling. I had so many hundreds of ideas in doing various biz project. Especially, eversince being introduce to the world of Internet Marketing, this is indeed the new age of marketing and biz venture. My next biz project will all be internet base, so my customer base is international.
My passion is still traveling, thus I should be lead by my heart, right; Yes! I will be creating a Traveling website the 1st focus will basically be for the adventurer travellers, organising and planning adventure travels within S.E Asia and maybe China, India. Will added in more niche traveling as the biz goes along.
Will be venturing this project with another biz partner who happen to be having the same vision and ideas. I will definitely keep all of you posted when the website is up and need your support to promote to your contacts ;)
I will continue to keep this blog going, it's focus is now shift to my travel journal in life, as life is a jorurney.
Alright, this is a brief updates. More will be coming.
Many blessings and loves,
Joy

In Singapore

Exactly 1 years of traveling, I promised my mum and friends I will be back; and now I am really back home. It came as a shock, I was not prepared for this. I really had a long and exhuasted flight to London from Guatemala as I had been traveling for 3 days and did not had any good sleep. Thus, when at the London custom point, not knowing the strict entires rules. I actually was quite flippant in my answers to the questions asked. Now, I realise that I was so stupid for not being alert and sometime taking things for granted. My entries to both Ireland and England was rejected base on the fact that I was traveling for too long and had no income of any source back home. Thus, they suspected my intention of entering into the country. I am very upset for not being able to go to Dublin as I was so much looking forward to meeting up with all my friends there.
Another most upsetting thing is that they lost my baggage (all my precious photos all in the backpack, my memerios) The custom officers all seems so setreotype, without any form of compassion or trust for people. I had a list of complaints to be made.
But now that I am back home, I believe there is a purpose (soon I will find out); if not, I had learnt my lesson (assume or persume too much)
I was upset, at the moment when I had actually boarded the plane, tears came flowing down my eyes. I was sad that I could not enrol or influence the officers in anyway (I was so confident my my enrolling power, my success rate had always been high since my traveling) But I actually failed this time, I tried till the last minute (never give up of all possiblities and finding ways to speak to the Chief or anyone whom I think can help) I was prepared to do anything to stay, but it just did not work out this time. Maybe I had now entered into the real world of laws, rules and systems, distrusting. Maybe me being in Latino world for quite a while (where rules are flexible) and so often able to get my way around.
Now what's next? I don't know, but I know I need time to think about it. So many possiblities, so many thing I can plan and want to do.
Will my travels end here already? Really depends.
Welcome feedback from you.

Lanquin and Semu Champrey in Guatemala

At the entrance of Lanquin Cave, huge Beautiful sunsetting over the surrounding mountains in Lanquin town
Local street, tranquil, no disco nor bar nor any night life here
Beautiful Semuc Champrey waterfalls
Traveling with Blanca Luz for this 5 days, in the guest house, love the pink
After Costa Rica, I came back to Guatemala again, to pack my stuffs, to see old friends (I had made here) and to arrang my flight back to LA to fly off to Europe. It was a joy to meet up with friends and to be back to this beautiful country again. This time round I make it a point to go to Lanquin (known for it´s beautiful huge graganitc cave) and Semuc Chemprey (known for it´s many waterfalls). I am so happy when Blanca Luz agreed to travel with me for the 5 days, and we absolutely enjoyed the many spectacular scenery we witness along the travels. Blanca who is so fearful of swimming and water, had overcome her fear, and we actually did water cave venture in the dark and this is so amazingly fun and exciting. I wasn´t expecting what I was experiencing and it all came as a surprise fun. The guests house we stay in for the 3 nights was one of a kind (great host, we cook and dine together), though Lanquin is a quite town in the night but not so in the morning, often I am awaken with then loud engine motorcars that drove up the hills, beside my bedroom. Lanquin is surrounded with many beautiful mountains and flowers. Soon, I will be leaving here and enter into the European world. I am not sure of what I will be expecting but am definitely sad to leave the American Latino world, after having traveled here for 6 months.

Costa Rica

Sunset in La Fortuna, near the Volcano Areanal
Volcanoe areanal
The Humming bird in Montevede
The Norwegian chickas met in La fortuna, hotspring in Baldi
Looking up in the famous Cloud forest Montevede
I left Santiago, Chile on 10 April with a sad heart, cos I had finished my travels in South America, and I had actually no idea what I was to do or see or visit in Costa Rica, I came here because my flight had a stopover here, so had decided to visit this country. When I first arrived San Jose, I wanted to get out of the city fast, next day early in the morning, I took the morning bus to La Fortuna, to see the active Volcanoe Areanal, but was quite disappointed, cos only get to see speck of rocks fell over the Volcanoe, not like what I had experience in Volcanoe Pacaya (Guatemala) we saw the the actual red hot burning lava right in front of us. But in La Fortuna, I had fun with the 6 Norwegien chickas travellers. After 3 days, I went to Montevede, the cloud forest to do the 21 canopy zip line and amazing tarzan swing. It was so much excitement and I enjoyed the Tarzan swing so much so that my heart almost pop out. Went to the frog farm, never expect what i was seeing, so many species, as tiny as 1 cm, skin as transparent and smooth as glass. It was a learning experience. Next, I head to the Pacific Coast beaches in Manuel Antonio and the beach here is like a paradise, the walk in the forest by the beach was great. But I spent the most part of my time in Puerto Veijo, the Carribean beaches, I like it here, is very different, many of the blacks live here, is a laidback, rustic, nature feel. Camp in this cool Rocking J hostel, doing practically nothing on certain days, cycled to the other beaches nearby, did diving and watch video. Afterall, Costa Rica is still a nice place ot visit and there are many American tourist here, so many of the locals do speak some English.

Santiago, Chile

Does this look like HDB flat or what
Birdeye view of Santiago at San Lucia park
Congested, polluted but yet has it's own charm
Having tradition Chilean lunch with my hospitable host Serena
Serena's and her sheeps in Santiago VFC
Hey look, here's the younger version of Arnold Swatzernager (Bill, USA)
Rendevous with Feargal (Ireland) and Eunice (England) in Santiago

This is my final pit stop, after traveling in South America for 4.5 months, and I need to fly out of Santiago to Costa Rica for 2 weeks and to Guatemala before heading to Europe for another 6 months or so. And it so happen that some of my travelers friends happen to be in town during the same time, thus we arrange to meet up again.

While traveling in the bus to Santiago, I met a Peruvian man Paul who went to be in Singapore for a month and he loves Singapore so much that he is so happy to meet me and make friend with me. After meeting up with Serena (for the first time, we connected - maybe we are Singaporean) there was so much to talk about and catch up with news. Sister Serena had been living in Santiago for about 3 to 4 years and she had been very faithful to the people and ministry here, She was so kind to offer me a bed to sleep in while in Santiago. God bless her soul. Together with Paul we proceed to find a Chinese restaurant to have a good Chinese meal (indeed we had, siyao chicken, ching chai, wan tan soup and friend beef noodles) sumptuous dinner.

Meeting up with Feargal and Eunice over dinner was great. I met Feargal in Ushuaia, Argentina while trekking in the National park, he gave me a shock when he suddenly appeared behind my back. Then I met him again, 1.5 week later, while trekking in Torres del Paine, Chile. What a coincidence. I found him very familiar and thought he look like one of the contacts I had in Dublin, Ireland, during the time I was there for mission. Feargal loves to trek, and his mission to S.A is to trek as many mountains as he could (he carry a checklist of mountains). It so happened that he also came in contact with the same Mario in one of the hostel they stayed in when in Pto Natales. They happened to mentioned my name while talking about trekking in Torres del Paine. What a small world. Thus, my conclusion is travellers circle is small, thus gossip or rumours spread, and people know.

Also I met up with Bill again here, as he was scheduled to fly out of Santiago one day before me. He had been traveling to many places for 2.3 years already and is wanting to complete his 3 years of traveling plans, Wow! What a life. I know him while on the 4 nights Navimeg ferry cruise via the Chilean channel from Pto Natales to Pto Montt. Our first encounter, is that I spilled my tea over his books, Ipod, and precious Spanish learning note pad that he created. What an embarrassment.

Meeting up with May (Japanese girl, she is a kind and wonderful woman) was exciting, so many things and events had happened to her during our short 1.5 weeks of not seeing each other, so much to catch up and talk about. We maybe meeting each other again in Europe sometime.

Its such a blessing to make new friends from all over the world, and having the internet to make our distance seemingly near.

Mendoza

My first time doing Canopy zipline, exciting
Friends met in Mendoza and having our super beef meal

Rafting in Mendoza River, grade 3, fun

At the park in Mendoza
San Martin and his liberation party sculpture.

Again after the mad rush 3 days in Bariloche, we, Eunice and myself travel to Mendoza (famous for its winery) This is a city with many historical architectual buildings. We had a pleasant 19hrs overnight bus ride. We arrived at about 7am not tried at all. After checking in, shower and bath. We immediately head out to explore the city. Within the city itself there is nothing much to see, so we went to the park and spent a good half day there. What we saw in the park is that many of the Argentinas love to jog and excerise, and either they don't have to work or finish works at about 3pm, we saw many people jogging. Up at the San Martin sculpture, we get to see the birdeye view of the city and learn abit of the history of the local historical latin America hero, San Martin, from a local law student who happen to be there. On the back to the hostel, we had a very cheap lunch/dinner for 5.5 peso (less than US2) for a plate of pasta, juice, bread and desert. Great deal. Then in the hostel we met 3 funny jokers Brett (St Monica, USA), Greg and Alex (Australia). Together, we had a night of laugh and joking, talking almost everything and nothing. That the joy of traveling, you meet people and you get connected and you leave to meet others, no committment to each other, most travellers seems to be like minded. Next day, Eunice left for Santiago, Chile (a day earlier) while the 4 of us, went to do the Mendoza adventure of rafting, kayaking and canopy. It was an absolutely amazing day for me. I met a group of people from South Africa, who happen to be in Argentina for their ruby tornument. We did the rafting together and it was so fun and easy for me, cos most of them are strong guys who does all the works. But the water is freezing cold, we got to wear layer of wetsuite and a rain coat over it. My treat of the day is doing the canopy zipline with Brett (he suddenly becomes my offical cameraman, kind soul) This is my first time, and it was so much fun and trills. I screamed almost all the time when zipping through the rivers. Being in Argentina and not trying their beef is like not having been here. So we arrange to have dinner together in one of the local resturant famous for it's beef, an dI had it medium rare. It was such yummy.

Bariloche

Dressing and dolling up is such fun, while traveling?
First time meeting up with my Friend Mario (from Australia met in One thorn tree) in Bariloche
Beautiful and interesting colour autumn tree
Spectacular view of the lake district on the hill in Bariloche
Cathedral during sun setting in town of Bariloche
After our sad departure with May in Pto Varas, we 3, Eunice and Patrick, made our way through the beautiful bus journey to come to Bariloche. Indeed, this is a well known place for it's natural beauty in the lake districts. The first picture you see is me and Eunice dressing up to look pretty to go to a local Irish pub, cos we want some change to our backpacker looks and dressings (it was fun) Together with 2 other staffs in the hostel we came to the Mackinney pub at about 10pm, but there is one 1 customer, it is really dead and quite. But soon after about 1am, people began to flood in till its was so crowded and full of people. This is so common in Argentina, club gets active only after 1 or 2 am . The 2nd pic is taken with Mario on top of one of the mountian to see the overall view of the lake. I was so surprise to see him here. I actually had never met Mario in person prior to this. We only got to know each other in the One Throne Tree, while posting our request and queries traveling in South America. And for couples of time we surpose to meet up and travel together, but never make it due to our travels schedules. But I was really surprised when he called out my name after coming out of the chairlift. Because I thought Mario is a girl and never expect to meet him here. Mario recognise me because he visited my blog and seen me before. Nevertheless, it was a great meeting up, and it shows me that the world is big but travellers circle is small and we meet up somehow (very interesting).

Beautiful Ice cap Volcano Orsono
How beautiful is tranquility You could win this mountain? Posing with Eunice (England)
After Spending 3 days in Chiloe, 3 of us, May and Patrick, we made our way to Pto Varas and met Eunice in the Bus station. So we decided to share a cab to go to our hostel. Eunice is a joker, she is full of nonsense, but highly intelligent. We really had fun teasing each other. After settling down our lodging, we went for a stroll round the town, also to check out on some tourist infomations. Then we land ourself in a very cool cafe with great view of the lake (1st pic you see on the top) to have tea and the special Kuchen cake (German name). Pto Varas has very strong German influences, most of the building have German architecture style. A very pleasant town to live in. Next day, we took the public bus to visit the Orsono Volcanoe. We had lunch picnic after walking and taking lots of photos for 3hrs. After lunch, we 3 girls head towards the lake for a nap and to enjoy the beautiful and tranquil creation of God. It was a nice day of outing.
